LE1, UK – Avinci Ltd is seeking a skilled Flatbed Machinist to join their precision engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates to operate flatbed machining equipment, both CNC and manual, and produce high-quality components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
The role starts at minimum wage for the first three months, with the potential for career growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate flatbed machining equipment (CNC/manual).
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
- Select tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Monitor processes to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Follow all safety and quality protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Experience with flatbed or CNC machines.
- Understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Knowledge of precision measurement instruments.
- Basic machine maintenance knowledge.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of materials and ERP/job tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
