Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) and the Apparel and Textile Manufacturers Federation (ATMF) continue to strengthen industry collaboration by supporting member businesses with recruitment opportunities.
At the heart of this initiative is FEL’s Skills Bootcamp in Fashion and Textiles, delivered at the Leicester Fashion Hub. The programme equips learners with practical garment production skills aligned with industry standards, helping them produce work-ready, industrial-quality garments.
Bridging Skills and Employment
Beyond technical training, the Skills Bootcamp provides learners with essential employability support, including CV preparation, interview coaching, and job application guidance—ensuring participants are fully prepared to enter the workforce.
This support was recently put into action when Denovo Sourcing Ltd approached ATMF with vacancies for Junior Machinists.
On 16th March 2026, ten Skills Bootcamp learners took part in an interview and trial process, gaining valuable real-world experience. The initiative not only supports employers in finding talent but also helps learners build confidence and transition from training into employment.
The FEL team and participants now eagerly await the outcome of the recruitment process.
Learner Success and Confidence Building
One of the participants, Zahra, shared her experience:
“After coming to the UK, I couldn’t find work. I completed ESOL classes and a Level 1 course in Fashion and Textiles, but the Skills Bootcamp attracted me because of the interview and job support. Sanna helped me prepare my CV, and the tutors built both my skills and confidence for face-to-face interviews. I am very grateful to FTA Leicester.”
Positive Industry Feedback
Abz also praised the collaboration:
“We received great support from FEL and ATMF throughout the recruitment process. The quality of work in the candidates’ portfolios was impressive. Many started with no experience, yet the standard they achieved during the course was excellent.”
Strengthening Leicester’s Talent Pipeline
This collaboration highlights the growing strength of Leicester’s fashion and textile sector, where education, industry, and employers work together to develop talent and create meaningful job opportunities.
By connecting training programmes directly with recruitment needs, FEL and ATMF are helping to build a skilled, confident workforce ready to support the future of UK garment manufacturing.
