What Will You Be Doing?
As a Trainee Handsewer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Working on garments and bundles following given instructions
- Hand sewing neck trims and pocket tops
- Attaching accessories and sewing garment components to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
- Collaborating with colleagues to meet production targets and deadlines
- Committing fully to the training programme with on-site support
- Adhering to all Health & Safety requirements
What You’ll Bring to the Role
The ideal candidate will have:
- Some hand sewing experience within garment manufacturing (highly desirable)
- Natural potential and understanding of sewing techniques
- Excellent hand–eye coordination and strong manual dexterity
- Ability to interpret technical documents and instructions
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Patience, teamwork, and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment
