ATMF & FTA Fashion Hub Celebrates Eid with Students and Staff

On 26th March 2026, the Apparel Textile Manufacturing Federation and Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) Fashion Hub hosted a vibrant Eid celebration, bringing together students and staff to mark one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic calendar. The event highlighted the academy’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity, cultural awareness, and community spirit.

A Celebration of Diversity and Community

Learners and staff from diverse backgrounds joined in a shared space of respect and understanding. Many attendees wore traditional outfits representing their cultural heritage, while an array of homemade dishes and sweets contributed by participants added to the festive atmosphere. Sharing meals, a central part of Eid, symbolised unity and marked the conclusion of Ramadan, a month of fasting, reflection, and spiritual growth.

Learning and Cultural Exchange

Beyond the celebrations, the event offered students a valuable educational experience. By engaging with different cultures, attendees strengthened friendships and gained a deeper appreciation of diversity within the academy. Moments like these reinforce mutual respect and foster a more inclusive learning environment.

Guidance from the Workers’ Educational Association

The session was further enriched by representatives from the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA), who introduced students to a variety of courses and development opportunities available beyond their current studies. Their guidance provided insight into skill-building, confidence development, and future pathways for learners completing their time at the academy.

Student Reflections

FTA Hub Administrator Sanna shared her experience:

“As a Muslim, it was wonderful to see Eid celebrated at our academy. Many of us had been fasting for Ramadan, and it was a special day to celebrate together, despite coming from different cultures. We shared food from our own traditions, giving everyone a chance to try dishes they had never experienced before.”

A Celebration of Inclusion

The Eid event at FTA Fashion Hub was more than a festive gathering—it was a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and shared experiences, reflecting the academy’s dedication to nurturing a welcoming and culturally aware environment for all students and staff.
