On 25th March 2026, Severn Trent hosted a careers fair at Leicester Tigers Stadium, bringing together employers and training providers to connect with job seekers and those looking for training opportunities.
Over 35 Employers and Training Providers
The event featured more than 35 organisations, including:
- HMP Leicester
- NEXT
- Leicestershire Police
- Leicester City Council
- Leicestershire County Council
- Leicester College
Attendees also had the chance to participate in CV writing workshops and sessions on interview preparation and making strong first impressions.
FTA Fashion Hub Promotes Courses and Opportunities
FTA Fashion Hub Administrator Sanna Bux attended to promote the academy’s courses and the upcoming Leicester Made event on 24th April 2026. She commented:
“It was wonderful to meet and speak with attendees and introduce our courses, which help improve mental health, provide a creative outlet, and build employability skills. I engaged with over 30 individuals, including job coaches, extending our reach even further.”
Sanna also highlighted the opportunity to learn from other service providers, gaining insight into their offerings to better support FTA students with information, advice, and guidance at the end of their programmes.
Connecting the Community
The careers fair successfully brought together local employers, training providers, and job seekers under one roof, creating a valuable platform for networking, skill development, and future career opportunities. FTA Fashion Hub’s participation further emphasised the importance of creative education and employability support within Leicester’s wider community.
